TWISTS
The simplist form of this is to simply
'twist' some dough around a greensapling branch. And roast it over
the fire.
You could try some variations on a
twist mixture ... e.g. sugar and cinnamonin the dough should be
quite tasty. At our last district camp one cub even put
tomato sause of his !!!!.
Bananas in Foil
This is one of my peronal all time
favourite scouting pieces of food. Tryit. It's delicious.
Take one large banana and some
chocolate. Cut banana all the way down(don't split it).
Then place some chocolate in the middle (Chocolatebuttons
work best) and wrap the whole thing in foil. Then leave it in
burningembers for about 5 minutes, until the chocolate is melted
!!!
A variation is to put ripe, unpeeled
bananas into the ashes of a good fireand roast until skin is black
(about half an hour). Rake out, split peeldown the centre, and
sprinkle fruit with sugar and lemon juice. Eat withspoon or
fingers.
