Who are Scouts?
Scouts are boys and girls aged
between 10 1/2 and 14 years old who want to make friends and
develop their widening interests in ways that are both educational
and fun - boys and girls who want a break from the usual 'after
school' routine of home-work, games and watching television!
Scouts meet as a Troop under the
supervision of Leaders, Each Troop consists of several Patrols
usually of six to eight Scouts. One Scout will be appointed the
Patrol Leader who is in charge or organising his Patrol.
What Scouts Do
Scouting activates are usually more
adventurous than the other sections. They participate in activities
like camping, hiking, rock climbing, sailing, pioneering, canoeing
and lots more.
The scout training also focuses on improving survival skills,
first aid and community involvement as well as having a good
time.
